What is Kontakt?

Kontakt is a program which allows you to play software instruments using your computer. Because our instrument is an official 3rd party instrument, you do not need to own Kontakt to use it. You will just need to own a MIDI keyboard to play it. You can also use a DAW to sequence notes, if you do not own a MIDI keyboard. Kontakt is compatible with Pro Tools, Logic, and most DAWs and is compatible with both Mac OS and Windows. It is also playable as standalone software. Learn more about Kontakt here.

The Sound Stone Kontakt Instrument

We recorded and sampled every note of a vintage electric and acoustic guitar, so that you can play multiple Sound Stone notes across a keyboard. By doing so, you can create vast soundscapes, organ sounds, flute like sounds, and leads which sound unlike any synthesizer.

In addition to this, we ran all of these samples through a vintage 3m m79 tape machine, which gives a secondary set of sounds for both the acoustic and electric guitars.

*You do not need to own Kontakt to use this. You can download the free Kontakt Player (instructions and download links included) If you do own Kontakt, you will need to use version 6 or later - you can still use Kontakt Player if you have an older version.

If you purchase this standalone Kontakt instrument, you will receive the download immediately.
